Vongon Solarfaze Stereo Multi-Band Saturation Effect Pedal

For something truly illuminating, we have the Vongon Solarfaze Multi-Band Saturation. The Solarfaze, Vongon's first foray into distortion, couples a vivid and unique saturation effect with a classic, high-fidelity modulation. Solarfaze's multi-band saturating processor and envelope-controlled detuned chorus make for a powerful and dynamic combination of effects in a Vongon vintage-inspired build.

Two distinct effects together make up the Solarfaze experience. The first, its Saturate circuit, is built up with a three-band processor designed to gradually warm, thicken, and distort your signal from a heated compression to vivid harmonic breakup. The Solarfaze's Saturate circuit leans into a crispy tonal palette that quickly turns gnarly as it inspires with three bands of frequency control – Bass, Mid, and Treble.

The second, the Solarfaze's Detune circuit, produces a wide stereo chorus effect that pitch-shifts the pedal's left and right channels in opposite directions. This wide, wavering modulation can be then dynamically controlled by the input envelope where your playing warps the modulation from a shallow shimmer to a drastic detuning. Together, these effects double up for effervescent, synth-flavored distortions that bend with interactive detuned vibrato twists.

The Solarfaze builds in a number of features for sound and playability. Vongon took the liberty to build in a noise gate with an adjustable threshold to retain clarity at high-gain settings and an option for flexible effect routing to swap the order of the effects – Saturate into Detune or Detune into Saturate – for interesting, new tonal conclusions. These effects fit into plenty of different contexts for any number of instruments. Work in Solarfaze on your guitar, synthesizer, drum machine, vocals, whatever, for something fiery, warbly, or something enticing and in between.

The Solarfaze features a MIDI 1/8" input for full control over all parameters and access to nine onboard preset slots. Soft-touch selectable analog buffered or DSP bypass footswitching opens up options for different switching preferences while your standard nine-volt DC power operation makes working the Solarfaze into your existing setup a breeze.
