Taylor Next Generation 712ce Grand Concert Acoustic-Electric Guitar, Western Red Cedar/Indian Rosewood

Jumping ahead in a fresh generation, the Taylor Next Generation 712ce Grand Concert is a leap forward in Taylor tech. This Grand Concert acoustic builds up with the brand's next-generation elements to improve the Taylor equation on foundational levels with advancements in neck control, bracing, and electronics. Stepping up for players, the Next Generation 712ce Grand Concert is a delight on every level.

Following in the celebrated Next Gen series, the Taylor Grand Concert gets loving upgrades on every level. Everything here starts with a cutaway Taylor Grand Concert body assembled from western red cedar and Indian rosewood. This classy combination of tonewoods produces a bright, responsive voice with buckets of warmth and complexity. A great musical tone matches with an easy playing feel under the arm with easy access to higher frets. Under the hood, the Next Generation introduces its first foundational improvement, scalloped V-Class bracing that balances traditional scalloped bracing shapes with Taylor V-Class patterns for a fully expansive and lush voice.

From here, the Next Generation series follows up with another improvement, its Action Control neck. This new feature makes adjusting string height easier than ever, putting more control in the hands of players to make playability adjustments. The neo-tropical neck features a long tenon joint, a slim profile, and a satin finish to make smooth moves across the full scale length. A West African Crelicam ebony fingerboard matches on this neck with Italian acrylic Reflection inlays for a smooth feel on the fingers and keen look up close.

This Next Generation Taylor tops off with a number of fine hardware specifications. Taylor nickel tuning machines match with an ebony bridge with ebony bridge pins for fluid and solid stringing. As the Next Generation's last foundational element, Taylor's Claria electronics introduces the model's fine acoustic voices for live performance. The 712ce Next Generation travels with an included hardshell case.

A huge step for Taylor, this Grand Concert has the best of it all.
