Strymon TimeLine MX Multi Delay Effect Pedal
Following up a bona fide titan of delay, the Strymon TimeLine MX is an evolved and upgraded version of the brand's beloved TimeLine digital delay. This masterful step forward for Strymon and one of their "big three" effect devices, the TimeLine MX breaks down boundaries in exciting, new ways for just what you've been waiting for – if you were a longtime user of the original TimeLine or otherwise!
The Strymon TimeLine MX follows in its predecessor's footsteps with, of course, a studio-quality digital delay experience covering so many bases of expressive, musical character. So much of the expression and playability from the original TimeLine carries over intact with tri-core 800 MHz ARM processed, studio-quality sound at every turn. Joining classic TimeLine effects like digitals, analogs, and tapes, the TimeLine MX introduces new Oil Can, Spectral, Drum, Reverb, and Multitap engines for a massively expanded tonal palette. Couple these new sounds with the MX's new dual delay functions for routing two effects together in series, parallel, or split with individual panning settings available per effect engine.
From here, the TimeLine MX continues on in making its classic delay experience even more robust, playable, and powerful. New features onboard the TimeLine MX include a fully integrated stereo looper with multi- or one-button control options, Strymon Swell and Duck effects accessible on every delay engine, and discrete Class A JFET preamps. The TimeLine MX's new stereo looper extends up to five minutes over its previous version's thirty second maximum for a looping function to fully back up any performance while the pedal's preamps preserve incoming signals with all their nuance and character retained.
It wouldn't be a Strymon pedal without massive digital control capabilities, of course. For one, the TimeLine MX features full stereo routing on all of its input and output connections – including its onboard FX loop. Run your delays mono-to-mono, mono-to-stereo, or full stereo for wild, expansive orchestrations. Controls are built out further with new MIDI TRS and USB MIDI connections for MIDI control through TRS cables or USB-C, in addition to MIDI DIN control connections. While building out your control rig, take advantage of the TimeLine MX's audio pan control for closer interaction across the stereo field. The Strymon TimeLine MX comes to life with standard nine-volt center negative power supplies operating with at least 500mA.
A real reason to celebrate for longtime fans of the TimeLine (or otherwise!), the Strymon TimeLine MX gives you a reason to scrub back and experience it all again.
