Iris Guitar Company BB Acoustic Guitar, Black Top w/ Firestripe Pickguard
Well... we made the largest dreadnought Iris Guitar Company offers into a blacktop/firestripe pickguard model, why not do the same to the smallest bodied guitar? Introducing the Iris Guitar Company BB Acoustic Guitar Black Top w/ Firestripe Pickguard. The BB is a 24.75-inch scale length parlor guitar with a big sound, we think it's great.
The small bodied parlor gets its size and shape from a Sitka spruce top and mahogany back and sides. A tonewood match made in heaven, this acoustic is snappy and punchy. Supporting its voice are scalloped Adirondack spruce bracing – a perfect platform for finger pickers, but still sounds great with a pick. The top is treated to a lush black top finish and the firestripe pickguard balances the body out. The body is wrapped top and back with tortoise binding.
Attached in a traditional set-neck fashion, its mahogany neck meets the body at the 14th fret. Its neck boats a comfy "C" shaped neck profile and is topped with a 16-inch radius Indian rosewood fingerboard. The fingerboard is crowned with 19 frets and is accented with 6 plastic fingerboard markers. The headstock hosts a set of vintage-style brass open back tuners with cream knobs to really own that vintage vibe of a parlor froms the '50s.
The BB is finished in a silky smooth open pore, natural satin nitrocellulose finish, it feels like it plays itself sometimes...yes, really. Strung up with D'Addatiro XS light gauge strings and housed in a TLK hardshell case for safe keeping.
