Gibson Custom Shop '57 Les Paul Standard Electric Guitar, Ultra Heavy Aged, Refin Burst

This Les Paul is part of a highly limited series from Custom Shop known as the Limited Edition Collection – a small batch collection of instruments inspired by various Made to Measure builds over the years. Built to deliver the very best Gibson can offer, let's take a deeper look.
This '57 Les Paul is constructed in Nashville, TN from a solid mahogany body with a carved maple top to deliver that unmistakable single-cutaway silhouette. A tonewood pairing used for decades, the guitar delivers plently of warmth, sustain, and definition only a Les Paul could. Its body is top bound and sports nickel hardware, gold top hat knobs, and aged white plastics. Delivering authentic late '50s sound, a set of Customerbucker Alnico 3 humbucking pickups are found in the bridge and neck positions. This pickups have ditched their cover to reveal the double classic white plastics – giving off a very '70s look. Tone can be further explored with the volume/tone controls and 3-way toggle switch.
Fans of large, baseball thickness necks rejoyce, this Les Paul has you covered. Affixed to the body in a traditional set-neck design, a 24.75-inch scale length 1950s Chunky "D" shaped mahogany neck is glued into the body and meets the body around the 16th fret. The neck is topped with a bound 12-inch radius rosewood fingerboard with trapezoid inlays and 22 narrow tall frets. Strings are loaded through the stop bar tailpiece/ABR-1 Tune-O-Matic bridge, rest in the nylon nut slots, and are strung to pitch with the Kluson Deluxe tuning machines.
The entire guitar as undergone Gibson's Murphy Lab Ultra Heavy Aged treatment – this finish recreates a heavily toured with guitar with major buckle rash, heavy arm wear, dings, dents, finish checking, and areas of exposed wood. With the finish this worn in, the guitar itself feels broken in, there is no need to be precious about it. Whether its hanging on the wall or on stage, it'll be a looker.
