Fender Player II Mustang Bass PJ, Rosewood Fingerboard, Rallye Orange

The Fender Player II Mustang Bass PJ in Rallye Orange is a welcomed addition to the Player II Series. Designed to adjoin vintage charm and modern functionality, this Mustang is a great, accessible option for short-scale bass goodness.

The offset alder body on this Player II Mustang bass is comfortable to play thanks to the double-cutaway silhouette, allowing for easy access to the upper registers. Connected by 4-bolts and a neck plate, a maple neck is connected to the body and partnered with the celebrated return of slab rosewood to the Player Series. A modern "C" shape neck, rolled fingerboard edges, and 19 medium jumbo frets make playing the shorter 30-inch scale length neck feel effortless.

Installed in the body are new Player Series Alnico V pickups. A single-coil Jazz Bass in the bridge and split single-coil Precision Bass in the middle position supply tonal variation for all genres and styles. Deep, articulate low-end can solidify and mix, and a growling Jazz pickup can cut through for leads and snappier tones. Sounds can be further refined with the master volume, master tone, and 3-way toggle switch. A 4-saddle standard bridge anchors the strings down for solid intonation while the synthetic bone nut and vintage style tuners help keep tuning stable.

Bridging classic Fender design and modern innovation, the Player II Mustang bass PJ is a great option for accessible short-scale musicality.

  • Player Series Alnico V pickups in PJ configuration
